Sure social networking creates a community among people but there is no location attached to those who you meet. Now, this new mash-up web 2.0 service known as Frappr! is out to popularize "social mapping." It creates a map that shows where your visitors are along with other details. "Frappr! Maps are like a triple mash-up of an online guest book, a hit log and a map - three services that, combined, create a fun and visually appealing environment that will keep Web site visitors coming back for more.." Frappr! was launched in 2005 by Kun, James and Brian, three friends from UC Berkeley and USC who wanted to keep track of their friends’ whereabouts after college. More than 2 million Frappr! Maps have been created so far, and the number keeps growing every day. Frappr! Maps allow site owners and visitors an easy way to visualize and interact with each other.
